You know those moments when a light bulb goes off in your head and you just can’t stop thinking about it? We had a collective light bulb go off last year when we were discussing our favorite shopping experiences, and have been at work since to bring our vision to life!

Curate, curate, curate
The heart of what we do is curate so that we can bring a highly edited collection of what we think is the best coming out of Korea and Japan. Our team spends an immense amount of time poring through everything to understand what makes a brand special with great formulations, good value, a delightful sensorial experience and a point of view that isn’t tired or trite.
We love that Korea is the world of fast beauty. So much changes every time we go back - as often as every 6 weeks on average - to make sure we’re staying on top of what’s happening. We start wide and through what Korean brands now call our “signature beauty-hunting process” we filter down to the best. Our beauty-hunting process is part investigative, part explorative and downright fun as we interview top dermatologists, estheticians, beauty houses, celebrities, makeup artists, R&D labs, brands, store directors and consumers – every time we go back – to do the legwork for you.
Our founder, Alicia, has been raving about the Son & Park Beauty Water for the last year (and much to our delight, there’s a whooping 500ml one available so that you never run out), and so we’ve done an Instagram highlight and giveaway of this product earlier this year because we thought it was a pretty special product. We also loved the convenience and chic packaging of the Moonshot dual mask, and did a fun Instagram giveaway on this as well when we went on our #SeoulBeautyTripping fun where Emily Weiss of Into the Gloss joined in on the beauty-hunt. We also fell in love with the Son & Park Beauty Gel for its unique ability to prime skin for makeup. And how can we not talk about theLalavesi cushion compact? This cushion compact leaves skin so dewy (not shiny) and feeling featherlight while still providing all the coverage you need. Basically, it does exactly what a cushion compact should do…but somehow a little bit better than a lot of other cushion compacts out there.
This is a small sampling of all the products that we’ve discovered and loved in the ever-changing Korean fast-beauty landscape.
