Sometimes when we look at our bathroom counter… we feel like a mad scientist. Or a really cool bartender?
We have an array of amber, blue, pink, opaque glass bottles full of unicorn blood - just kidding! They’re ampoules, which are basically the bodybuilders of the serum world. The concentration of active ingredients has been amped up, but that doesn’t mean you should supercharge your skin. Ampoules should be used sparingly as to not over-stimulate your skin e.g. use a sparing amount everyday, use it two/three times a week, or one week out of the month.
One of our favorite skin-saving ampoules recently is the Snail Repair Intensive Ampoule.
Like the other products of Snail Week, this ampoule boats a high concentration of our hero ingredient: snail mucin! It has 80% snail filtrate to fight signs of damage, especially for acne scarring and dark spots.
Pat just a couple of drops (2-4) onto the face after using your toner and/or All-In-One Snail Repair Cream. This heavy-hitting ampoule is the perfect for revitalizing your skin after a particularly stressful week or just as a general pick-me-up.
What sets this ampoule apart from the rest of the snail line is the addition of antioxidant-rich cocoa. Cocoa extract has theobromine, which helps to increase blood flow and circulation. When more blood moves through the skin, it can actually help to depot and promote the skin healing process.
For a while, we thought, “Are we putting too much snail onto our skin?” Our conclusion was a resounding, “NO.” When life gives you snails, make skincare.
