Acne Spot Treatment

Acne Spot Treatment

Let’s put acne on the spot.

Even when we diligently wash our face, remove our makeup & basically do everything right, a pimple will decide to rear its ugly head.

Instead of getting mad at the world and squeezing - please don’t pop it - we like to take the high road: rev up our acne treatments.

We know that harsh exfoliants can actually exacerbate acne, but no exfoliation at all can leave dead skin cells to plug up pores at their leisure. We like this Seaweed Jelly Scrub because it’s beyond gentle and actually helps to reduce inflammation. If you use physical scrubs (e.g. with beads) that are too harsh, you could break the skin barrier and spread bacteria growth (eek!). Once the skin is clean of residue, our other acne spot treatments - keep reading - will be even more effective.

If you’re afraid a physical scrub, Acence Blemish Out Pink Out contains the chemical exfoliants AHA and BHA acids, which help to fight oil, remove dead skin cells and fight blemishes. The pink calamine in this solution may remind you of the calamine lotion your parents used on you as a kid (chicken pox, anyone?) to relieve redness, stinging and irritation, and it does the same for our acne spots! Apply this spot treatment with a q-tip by dipping it straight into the yellow layer, down to the pink layer, and back up through the yellow layer (do not shake the bottle). This creates a three layer treatment solution to seal your skin from environmental stresses while it heals your acne.

Everyone knows tea tree oil is great for reducing acne flare ups, but while beauty store shelves are full of tea tree cleansers, toners, etc., we like to keep the Acence Tea Tree Tock Blemish Spot pen in handy because the gel dries over the applied area, creating a clear, acne-fighting bandaid of sorts. Tip: if you want to wear it during the daytime, apply a very, very thin layer, which will be more undetectable because a thick layer dries to a shiny finish.

Tea tree oil to the rescue again! We like to grab this Caolion Tea Tree mask whenever our skin starts acting up, and because this sheet mask is triple layered, it gently forces all of the acne-clearing serum into your skin. The Jeju Green Complex makes sure our skin gets essential nutrients as well, so when the mask comes off, pimples are reduced and skin is glowing!
