We love Shu Uemura’s quote: “the beauty of cleansing oil is that it is the most effective way to remove all impurities, and it creates the best skin condition."
Yes, yes, and yes. Oil cleansers gently remove all impurities without disrupting the moisture balance of your skin’s protective barrier.
We have received countless emails this winter about skin becoming more finicky, and after switching to an oil-based cleanser (followed by a very gentle water-based foaming cleanser) vs. using a harsh remover, scrubbing cleanser or all-in-one cleanser, the emails of transformed winter skin have poured in.
So, without further ado, if you aren’t yet using a good oil cleanser to keep skin healthy, here are our favorites:
Cremorlab’s Cleansing Gel Oil: Mineral-rich thermal water (that is even used for hydrotherapy on cancer patients) enrich and rejuvenate skin while dissolving impurities without leaving a trace of oily residue.
Looking for an all-natural solution that starts off as a solid and literally melts onto the face? Aromatica’s Orange Cleansing Sherbet smells heavenly and crisp while super gently removing every last impurity off your face.
Banila Co’s Clean it Zero gently exfoliates while casting out impurities and removes stubborn makeup off effortlessly.
We’re not surprised that Michelle Phan raves about this cleanser. Mizon’s No. 1 King’s Berry Cleansing Oil includes generous portions, an incredible formulation and super cute packaging. All your makeup and dirt and grime comes right off and skin is left supple.
Get your skincare game right - the first step is half the battle!
