So by now, hopefully many of you have been marching steadfastly towards radiance by indulging in the skincare tips we’ve been sharing! Our mission is to help women achieve that inner glow one day at a time. It IS attainable and just requires a little bit of care to nail your perfect skincare regimen.
And dewy, smooth skin is the perfect canvas for make-up!
Here’s a short and sweet beauty tip on how to show off that radiance with eyes that match. Somehow, tired eyes and radiance just don’t mesh. Not the best picture below of what I’m going to describe but here’s a quick 3-step tip!
Step 1: Cover eyelids with a neutral base (I use the same Sua Young BB Cream that I use on my face to keep my lids the same color as the rest of my face. Best to use a color that is similar to the rest of your face.
Step 2: Apply a bright white pencil eyeliner or eyeshadow (easiest to use pinky finger) to two places: 1) brow bone - right below the brows but only towards the brow-ends (ends that are closer to ears than nose) where the bone is most prominent, 2) under the lower eyelid lash line, as close to the lash line as possible. Start with inner corner and go about 2/3 across. I tend not to put the white all the way at the outer tips because it tends to make the eyes look a bit swollen and droopy. Blend in as needed so that the white shade is there but there are no definitive lines outlining the eyes as that tends to look unnatural.
Step 3: Use a thin black eyeliner (great for dark brown, gray and even hazel eyes) or thin dark gray eyeliner (great for blue eyes) or dark brown eyeliner (great for hazel eyes) and draw a very, very thin line along (or a tiny, tiny, tiny bit below) the lower lash line. The white shadow should be peeking out under this black line you drew. I use liquid eyeliner for this as it requires precision and a thinner point than a pencil eyeliner, and also tends to smear a lot less. And lining the under-eye area smears a lot more than the upper eyelid with lashes smearing it as well as the tear duct constantly keeping that area moist. So for me, I stick with a waterproof liquid eyeliner and I’m good to go all day.
1, 2, 3 and voila! Your eyes should look instantly brighter.
My 1-minute morning routine after my brows. Followed by lip gloss. And on fancier days, blush and shimmer. Tips on all that for another day as it is once again way too late here in Seoul and I should not be up. I blame the two delicious lattes I happily drank a few hours ago.
In the meantime, would love to hear how this tip works out for you and if you have any other brighten-the-eyes-quick tips!
