We're so excited to launch our Best of K-Beauty Award series. After months of reading through your reviews, poring over your survey answers (we emailed you last year asking about your favorite K-beauty products), digging into formulas and results, we saw 17 products that rose to the top. These stood out over 500 popular products, many of which have been called “skincare holy grail products.”
Over the next few weeks we will be highlighting not only these 17 miracle products but also 17 influencers who have helped educate people about K-beauty and skincare. Here’s a little peek into their world:
What's your fave skincare tip?
To double cleanse at night after wearing sunscreen and or makeup! It’s much gentler and more effective than my previous method of cleansing.
What's your fave product from our award series?
The Olivarrier Fluid Oil Squalane. I used to hate wearing oils but after trying out this oil, I was a convert! It doesn’t make my skin greasy nor does it break me out. It also doesn’t smell like anything, which is oftentimes a deal-breaker for me when it comes to oils.
Chocolate or Vanilla?
Coffee or tea?
That’s a tough one but if I had to pick, tea.
What do you to de-stress?
Light a candle, slap on a sheet mask, hop into a bath, and read a good book!
What are 3 things people don't know about you?
- I can sign the ABC's in ASL
- I love to bake
- I have a black belt in Taekwondo.
What is your favorite place in the world?
Is it horrible of me to say my bed? I love my beauty sleep. It’s also my preferred location for Netflix binges.
Dream vacation spot?
Italy! I was lucky enough to visit Rome, Florence, and the Amalfi Coast two years ago but I would love to go back and see more parts of the country. Everything about it fascinates me—the history, the art, the atmosphere, and most importantly the food.
Who's your hero?
On the top of that list is Michelle Obama. I’m forever in awe of her positivity and dedication to causes she is passionate about.
What inspires you?
Everything and anything! Inspiration comes in all forms and the most random thing can get my creative juices flowing. I’ve even been inspired by a box of cereal before—the colors were absolutely mesmerizing.
Best tip for aspiring influencers?
Be consistent, be honest, and don't take things too seriously.
